The short version: your decks stay on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. The only thing that leaves your device is a record of the one-time purchase, if you make it. Some store links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them.
Your projects, their sizes and choices, the prices you type in, and any house photo you add are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
The purchase is made through Apple. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or your Apple ID. To check whether the app is unlocked and to restore the purchase on a new device, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase service. RevenueCat receives the purchase record and a random ID the app makes up. That ID is not your name, email or Apple ID, and it is not linked to you. We use the purchase records to unlock the app and to count sales. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no location, no contacts, and no tracking across other apps or websites. Deck Planner does not use Apple's advertising identifier.
If you choose to add a photo of your house, the app asks for the camera or your photo library. The photo stays on your device. It is only shared if you share a PDF yourself.
When you share a PDF or open a store link, you choose where it goes. The app does not send anything on its own.
Each line on the material list has a button that searches for that item at a store such as Home Depot or Lowe's. The link opens in your browser or in the store's own app, never inside Deck Planner.
Some of these links are affiliate links. They pass through the store's affiliate network (for example, Impact) on the way to the store, which records that the visit came from Deck Planner. If you then buy something, the store may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price. The link carries only the name of the item you are looking for and whether you tapped it in the app or on the website. It carries nothing about you: no name, no email, no device ID, and no project details.
Once you follow a store link, you are on the network's and the store's sites, and their privacy policies apply. They may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser to credit the sale, usually for a limited time such as 24 hours. You can clear or block cookies in your browser's settings.
deck-planner.app itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Like any website, our host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the site.
Deck Planner is not aimed at children and collects nothing from anyone beyond the purchase record described above.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date above.
